next on the list of things that need improving... what is the difference between the early 98-2k jimny and the 2k+ power steering? why do i keep seeing that only the early boxes are suitable?

I was under the impression the box's were the same, but as the 2k+ jims run an m series motor it leaves you still needing pump ect.

ahh, i have no idea hence the asking. if the boxes are the same anyone have any idea if you can use a vitara pump/lines etc but with the later jimny box? im trying to avoid the wedge if i can.

doing some more reading around, im assuming the difference in jimnys is pre 2k they were G series motors and post 2K they were the m series? hence the difference in pumps/setups?

can anyone confirm that the newer and older power steer boxes are interchangeable?
