I was wondering if anybody can tell me if the 800cc motor can be bored out to 1 litre and if the block is the same otherwise as I

have several 800 blocks and a destroyed 1 litre.

Thanks in anticipation DR.

The f10a has a 65.5mm bore. (wiki). If you could get the 62mm bore f8a to 65.5mm you would still only get to 889cc with the F8a cranks' 66mm stroke.
That is a fair bit to shave off the liners...

The bore casting is slightly thicker on the f10a I think so it might not be possible to bore an F8a block out enough?

As for the other parts it should be simple. You would just need the 410 crank and pistons fitted to get to 970cc.

Some info for you

As you can see the only difference in the cranks is the stroke so they can be swapped, the extra capacity is also made up with the piston compression height, I haven't found the conrod lengths yet but the F8a and F10a use the same conrods.

Unless you have the tooling etc, it probably wont be cost effective.
If the f series engines are like the g series, the rebuild probably wont last a real long time either.
