I was wondering if anybody can tell me if the 800cc motor can be bored out to 1 litre and if the block is the same otherwise as I have several 800 blocks and a destroyed 1 litre. Thanks in anticipation DR. |

The f10a has a 65.5mm bore. (wiki). If you could get the 62mm bore f8a to 65.5mm you would still only get to 889cc with the F8a cranks' 66mm stroke. That is a fair bit to shave off the liners... |

Unless you have the tooling etc, it probably wont be cost effective. If the f series engines are like the g series, the rebuild probably wont last a real long time either. |

Thanks for all the info a f10a motor turned up at the Maffra swap on Sunday it is in good order only needs new set of rings .Thanks heaps again for the info I never cease to be amazed at how much you guys know. |
