Hey all, Installed my Spartan locker and steel diff housing in my vit on the weekend, took it for its first drive today. Put it in 4wd with the hubs locked and it is extremely hard to steer. Like I mean ridiculous. A mate has one exactly the same but with power steer. He said his is really stiff in 4wd too even with power steer. Just wondering if anyone has the same thing happen and if it's normal! Thanks in advance! LK |

Locked fronts bring the suck with steering. It's normal, hence why a lot of people say to save up for selectable lockers in the front end. And 99% of your driving won't require a front locker. |

Cheers all! Will take it for a few runs and see how it goes. As long as all wheels are driving I will deal with it! Haha |

They can be stiff to unlock when first fitted, mine was. Once oil got around it freed up. Mine works best on thinner oil, it is less good with thicker diff oils. |

Possibly left in the cup washers, not allowing enough room for the mechanism yo slide |
