Hey all, So I've got 3" calmini kit in my vit and if I hit a decent bump my front struts go to full extension and max out with a fair bang and I hate to think what it's doing to the struts. I know I can get spacers but can't find any in Aus. Has anyone found a store in Aus that sells them? Look in Aus because needed ASAP. Thanks in advance. LK |

The calmini kit comes with spacers? |

Yes but I got my kit second hand and they've obviously either forgotten or kept them. So chasing some now before I destroy my struts. LK |

Put OME struts in it. The strut spacers only work with stock length struts. Spacers are available from a few sources. |

I have aftermarket OME struts but they still max out because I've fitted a 15mm coil spacer in the front to level ride height. No one seems to have any in Aus so will have to go O/S LK |

ome struts and strut spacers will over enters the front end and your cv's will fall apart. Don't do it. Strut spacers with stock length struts. No spacers with ome struts. |

I don't get what you mean? 2 mates with calmini kit have after market shocks with 50mm spacer and have no problems. I need to do something about it. I can't keep driving it how it is or I'll destroy the struts completely. And not a chance stock ones with spacers are long enough. I have to do it and see what happens. LK |

Lots of aftermarket struts for Vitaras are no longer than standard. However, if you use OME, tough dog (or maybe dobinsons, not sure) these struts have extended travel and you will wreck cv's if you use them with the strut spacers. You might get away with it if you retain the swaybar, but I wouldn't risk it. Full lock at full droop is what does it. |

I make 40mm Vitara strut spacers if you do need an extension. http://www.zukparts.com/Suzuki-Vitara/Suzuki-Vitara-40mm-Strut-Extensions |

100mm is about the limit of cv droop . Jack the car up and let the wheels hang. Measure from ground to cv at the wheel and diff. If its less then 100mm u can run a small spacer to make up the difference. No way in hell are u going to be able to run 90 ontop of standard travel unless u have droped the crossmember. |

U may be running to much lift if ur topping out the struts all the time. U are ment to run big offset wheels with the calmini lift |

And that offset lowers the effective spring rate, lowering lift height. Calmini logic at its best! |
