Hi,

Ive been having issues with my jimny 98 G13BB not holding idle when cold. It stalls when coming to a stop when engine is still cold.

The error codes I got with my mates scan tool are:
64- Shift sol#1
31-MAF sensor voltage high
32-MAF sensor voltage low
41-Ignition signal fail
42- CMP sensor no signal
61- Shift sol#1 open

Anyone know where to start? I thought it was the IAC but now im lost and confused.

Clear the codes and see which ones reappear.

The codes you list suggest that at some point an attempt may been made to start the engine with a number of sensors disconnected, sensors may have been unplugged with the ignition on, or, the wiring harness may have been damaged & repaired at some point.

Ignore for now the 61 & 64, those are transmission related, if the 41 & 42 are valid faults, the engine should not be running - a 42 is logged if the ECU detects a start signal with no input from the cam position sensor (basically the starter should be turning the engine, but there is no signal from the cam sensor, so the engine isn't turning), the 41 is related to that (the ECU is not seeing ignition feedback when it thinks it should) a 41 will usually result in the ECU killing the injectors to avoid flooding the engine with fuel, the 31 & 32 codes at the same time are interesting - a failed MAF sensor or wiring issue will usually produce one or the other, but to have both simultaneously, I'd say is quite unusual.

I believe there are issues with scanning EFI Suzukis of this vintage with anything other than Suzuki scan tools. It may be giving you garbage results.
You can flash the stored error codes on the check engine light by jumping a connector under the glovebox with a paperclip. The details for this procedure are in the FSM.
Codes are cleared by disconnecting the positive battery terminal for a minute.

It did read that i was doing 119km/hr when stationary and coolant temp at -50*C

Ok. Abandon scan tool and take it for a drive.
Is it throwing the check engine light?
