I'm trying to remember what I did, to get my waterpump off when it was apart. Pretty sure I took the guide off to slide the pump out. Bloody pain in the ass these motors, glad I've gone to the darkside......... |

I had a look at the manual and it offers no clues it just says remove water pump. |

But it looks like t tensioner can be adjusted this is from the NGV manual but it might work for,you. If the ts the same there should be a little latch on the bottom of the tensioner from what I can gather it needs to move to the right to release it but it's a little fuzzy. It says you can lock it open with a pin in that little hole after you move it back to the left. M |

Thanks Marck. I actually found that little latch on the underside of the tensioner....once I released it the chain slackened off and it was fine after that. It's still a little slack at the moment but I'm guessing that once the car is running oil will flow into and and tension tightly again.
