hey everyone, first post on the forum. Looking at getting my hands on a sierra (pre 2000) and the beginning of next year, always had a crush on them!! haha I will be using it for camping and 4wding so wanted to find out a bit about the car, what are the pros and cons? some good mods? what are the best models for 4wding? anything really to broaden my knowledge. Last year for the Sierra was 1998. 1996-1998 are broadly less desirable. 1998-current is a different vehicle referred to as the Jimny. Suzuki locally have confusingly been badging this car as a "jimny Sierra" for few years. |

Camping in a Sierra is a TIGHT fit if you're taking 2 people and all the gear... plus it makes the sierra pretty bloody heavy. Most of the people on here with Sierra's that camped or traveled regularly opted to build or buy small trailers. |

But I sometimes enjoy the limitations and having to think/plan your trip better to make it work.. Kind of like stretching the mind with a game of chess. Having said that, I also have a large car that I do the bulk of my camping in. The Sierra doesn't get used for every trip

A roof rack on a Sierra can be very handy if packed correctly aswell.... |
