So i have LWB vitara 2" coils, over the weekend i decided to see if they would fit.

Unfortunately the spring does not line up with the holes, i was thinking about cutting it to make it line up.

Anyone done this before? or sell them and get SWB coils?

This is 92 LWB to a 94 SWB vitara coil springs.

150% SWB and LWB Vitara springs are interchangeable. The spring seats are exactly the same between the two models.

Promise. I've swapped springs between SWB and LWB Vitaras frequently. I run LWB vitara rear spring seats and hats in the front of my sierra and I swap between LWB rear, SWB rear, and Tough Dog SWB rear all the time. Likewise at the front, any vitara can take SWB, LWB, 2.0 and V6 springs and early GV springs. I have swapped them all (although the GV springs give excessive lift and rate)

Don't cut the springs.

Im all new to this stuff but i try and give everything a crack, So where the spring sits in the top (rubber) that can be moved around?(spin) If so it will fit...i didnt even think to see if i could move it.

Yes - the rubber can be removed & rotated, but, really, why bother? Position the spring so the tail sits in the correct place on the control arm and you'll be fine.

You have something very wrong. Are you sure you haven't tried to install rear springs in the front? can you post a picture of the spring in place?

OK, in any case, you have a significant problem with fitment. don't drive the car like that, especially in 4WD - it will cause havoc with the CV's and RH axle.

You need to get those springs seated properly.

Only fitted it to one side to see how it was, it wasn't seated properly at all, which may have caused it to sit higher.
