Post subject:  Sierra Xfer in Jimny vibration

Hi, I just put 6.5:1 gears in my Jimny and now whenever I am accelerating there is a bad vibration

I have checked all the drive shafts to see if one was misaligned, all seem fine
I thought maybe one of the drive shafts could be imbalanced but doesn't seem to be that either seeing as it actually gets better the faster I drive, and also because the vibration happens as soon as the car is under load (shafts not spinning fast enough to alter anything like that)

Just wondering if this could possibly be due to the gears or if anyone has had anything similar

Cheers

Do you have the jimny cv rear shaft still? I got a bad vib after fitting longer rear radius arms and it ended up being the cv bottoming out. Added a tail shaft spacer to fix it

Bad/tight uni
Take shafts out and check for play and/or stiffness

I've got the case out now anyway, I think the spacer wasn't on straight, checking all the unis and that now

Drove it for 2 days before the rear output started leaking oil... onto the next problem
