Has anyone had a crank seal work its way out before to then rub on the timing pulley??

Do you think the oil could pressurise and push the seal out?

I'm constantly chasing oil leaks on my Baleno G16b. Cam cover seal and sump have been a pain in the arse over the few years she's been on the road. It might just be me but I'm sick of oil leaks.

My cam cover breather hose is not running into the Air intake like normal but into a separate small filter. Maybe has something to do with this.

Mine's done it a few times - Suzistore fixed it by using some gasket sealer stuff and allowing it to cure overnight. Hasn't budged since.

We had this issue with an LJ in our group.

Different motor however. he was having the sump pressurise, it was pumping oil out of his dipstick. He was running a filter instead of the stock assembly.

turned out the filter while not blocked was causing a restriction and the path of least resistance was to push the dipstick out,

he went back to the stock assembly and his leaks went away.

Thanks Guys.

Seems kinda common then.

I'm definitely going to delete the filter and try run it another way similar to stock.

I've had it happen on a G13, in my case, the cause was also blocked or restricted crankcase breather.
