can u run hilux diffs as they are in zooks on top of the springs, did you guys think by cutting and diffs down a bit will keep the wheels in closer so the wheels dont hang right out?? i had a bit of a look at the hilux diff i have and they dont look to bad to cut down |

yes cutting the housing is the easy piart then you have to shorten the axles not so easy in short DONT DO IT just wack the lux diffs oh and better of using a bundy rear if its a lwb you might get away with a lux rear |

Jimbo_jones, mate just in relation to your comment about bundy or hilux diffs, obviously the bundy diff had coils and arms and the hilux diff had leaf springs, what is the other differences that make you say a hilux diff is only suitable for LWB ?? |

bundy has offset rear centre, hilux is centered |

Royce I take it the fronts are the same position bundy and hilux, offset right like a zook |

yes all that is well and good i do understand about the off set of the diffs, as i am running a c4 auto with a hilux transfer case so the diff sets will be fine, i can also respine the alxes my self. does anyone have pics of the the front hilux diff in there zook???? would the front tail shaft being on a 50mm offset to inline with the transfer case(side ways) matter ???? |

why would you want to cut them down in the first place? the whole point of the diff swap is for stability and strength. |

you say you have a hilux transfer in there, so the diffs should line up pretty good? If you're only rockcrawling i wouldn't worry about anything lining up anyway, maybe if you're doing high speeds in 4wd then it might have an effect on the front uni? |

why would you want to cut them down in the first place? because all the pics i have seen they sit a fair way out (tyres past the guards) |
