Hi, my daughters 1.6 Grand Vitara has been experiencing cooling issues and after replacing the water pump, thermostat and radiator we have also found the housing where the radiator cap attaches to has become brittle and the area where the cap seals is no longer smooth and flat. The mechanic can find no listing for this part (it is separate from the radiator and connected via a short hose) and I am also finding it difficult to even find a name for the part to do a search. Anyone with any ideas as to even what this component is called would be appreciated. Every radiator I have had anything to do with has had the cap attached directly to the radiator, not on some separate little plastic bit.
