Hey guys, new to this site but have read afew threads 8n the past relating to 413's and samurai's. I currently have a 413 trailer truck but im sick of going too hard in it and breaking stuff haha. So have been looking at getting a road legal samurai or 413 for a while, main purpose will be for less aggressive offroad trips and also for short runs into town. However I have come across a realy tidy looking LJ 80 flatdeck and am wondering how they go offroad/ how many aftermarket options are available for these. Is the 800cc motor too gutless or is the gearing and lightness enough that it can still get around? I am not looking at sxtensive mods, just some decent MT tyres and maybe a small lift? Any help, info or opinions would be great thanks.

I have a lj80 tray, I fitted a 1 litre motor it is a bolt in fit, disc brake front end need to change cvs,235x85x15 tyres on white spoke steel rims this gives the origional wheel circumference almost exactly and does not affect gearing,I also fitted EFS 50 MM LIFT KIT. It cruises at 80 k happily but will do 100 easily but gets really noisy at that,I travel around the Victorian High Country with lots of bigger modified trucks but off road I can always hold my own, is a bit slow on big hills with a big load on.I have Federal Coragia MT tyres and find them great on the light vehicle.
