| Post subject: | GV suspension lift - adding bits to the OME suspension |
I already have the standard OME suspension (wimpy 35mm) on my SWB GV and want to lift it more. I was thinking 15-20mm spacers in the front and possibly 40-50mm spacers in the rear. I would also need camber adjustment bolts as well. What is the maximum lift you can do on the front without needing diff drop brackets? I thought it was 2" but have read it can go as high as 3" so am not sure on the max lift. Also with 2.5-3" lift on the rear will the panhard rod need adjustment, ie relocation bracket? Can the OME struts/shocks handle the additional lift? What about the brake lines? Are the OME SWB springs the same as the LWB GV? Or are they taller or thicker to take into account the heavier weight? So would using LWB springs be a better option or would it affect the ride making it more harsh? I have the ARB catalogue but it doesn't list the part numbers. Cheers. |
