Gents, has anyone installed a speedo healer on a 05 GV V6?
I have upsized my tires and purchased a speedo healer sometime ago. Its now time to give the install a go and I was hoping someone had a write up.

FYI 90km/h on speedo is actually 100km/h...

Thanks

Doesn't it come with instructions?

If I assume that a "speedo healer" recalibrates or corrects the speedometer there are two ways to achieve that - one is a mechanical gearbox and the other is an electronic "black box" that will need to be connected as directed by the manufacturer. The 05 GV uses an electronic speedometer so the black box is the type best suited to it, and the most we can help you with will be telling you which wire behind the cluster to cut & splice.

Look for a blue/yellow wire behind the cluster, and it would be best if you made your connections behind the cluster as that wire also connects to the ECU, so you want the corrector between the wire and the cluster rather than between the sensor and the wire.

Going from memory there was a thread detailing the install of a Jaycar corrector on a GV, I think it was on this forum, but I can't be certain - I can probably find you another thread detailing the installation of the same Jaycar corrector on a Pajero if you don't find the GV one.

I think this is the post you are referring to:

I have a HealTech SpeedoHealer SH-V4 with a SH-U01 Harness Kit - the instructions are more directed at bikes.

Yup - that was it.

I took a look at the install guide for the SH-U01 - it looks like you cut the blue/yellow wire going to the cluster, splice the harness end to white SH wire, splice the cluster end to the green SH wire, connect the black SH wire to ground, the red SH wire to +12V power and you should be good to go.
