Post subject:  Super Swampers...

Alright guys, chasing a bit of info about the Super Swampers, first of all what kind of money am I looking at for 4 or 5 of these plus importing them (how?).
Secondly, which ones do I get? I'm chasing around a 33x10.5 or the 34x9.5 but there's so many different ones to choose from.

The Super Swamper TSL - Radial, offers a 33x10.5 http://www.intercotire.com/tire/117

The Narrow SS TSL offers a 34x9.5 http://www.intercotire.com/tire/126

Or the Super Swamper LTB offers a 34x10.5 http://www.intercotire.com/tire/60

Thanks for any help.

34 10.5 ltb , 35 12.5 ltb, 34 9.5 15 ss, 9/34 16, 35 10.5 sx2 from their blem site, Q78 15

Radials are too stiff and too tight in the tread.
LTB's have a nice compound.

9.5's are a cool winter tyre because of ground pressure.

I heart swampers.

Thanks Tanshi

Steve, when you say cool winter tyres what do you mean by that, fnq winter is perhaps very different to victorian winter.
And what do you mean by blem site lol

Yes I saw that after I posted it. We have clay down here so I winter there's a crazy slick surface whic needs very high ground pressure to work on.

In summer a wider tyre with a low load rating makes the most of the flexible tread a bias tyre provides. So example a q78 15 works well at 2.5 psi front and 1.5psi rear on a light SWB Sierra.

Yeah sweet, q78s are the 35x10s aren't they?

Oh, they have a corner of their website where they sell off-spec tyres. "Blemished" - The 35 10.5 sx2's aren't on the shopfront only in the blem area.

Q78's are roughly 35.5 x 10

$500 for three and a half Swampers (33x12.5) plus import duties . . . from Melbourne.

Ah yep, found that Steve.
Hmm really tempting on the tyres, I might get back to you in a month or so if you still have them, broke uni student and just crashed into a falcon lol

Not mine, another vic zook club member is selling them. I have seen them work VERY well on a light Sierra, slick clay, rock, not a problem. In a month or so they might be sold . . . to me.

*ahem* don't you have something a little, well, bigger, Steve?

I agree- they work super well on a light Sierra. They're also quite narrow for a 12.5 once mounts.

Has anyone ever imported blems or other tyres? What would shipping cost for tyres?
