Post subject:  Which rw brng?

I got some new bearings but the inner race seems too tall compared to the existing brng.
Any comments?

Your obviously doing the rear bearings.

Trying to remember off the top of my head but pretty sure on the outside of the wheel bearing there's a spacer. Labeled '4' in the diagram below.

Perhaps if the wheel bearing was located with the extra width of the inner race facing outward it would replace that spacer. Someone else would need to confirm this but it looks about the right length. What are the measurements?

There are two types of rear wheel bearings, Normal style which runs a separate spacer or the style like your second pic which has an offset inner race to compensate.

Spacer goes on first/offset inner race points towards the wheel when installing.

Bumstein is correct, that bearing does not require the separate spacer.
