Does anyone know if a 5L commodore v8 will fit in the engine bay if not I might extend the cab and bring the motor back

What are you building? A truggy or comptruck or something? I'd think there would be quite a bit of work to fit a v8 in, also your gearbox tunnel will be too small.

Why does it matter? By the time the project is complete the size of the engine bay will be easiest of the problems you will need to solve.
