Hey all I have cut the housings and made the plates what is the best way to weld it with out warping the housings? Short stick welds and cool with compressor or damp rag?

Cheers searched but only found before and after pics none of how the welding was done

Yep bolt in a shit centre and weld 30mm at a time in random spots around the housing

If you can get a strong back (big piece of RHS/beam/collum) then tack the housing to that to keep it straight. Crappy center, and back step your welding. This will help with not warping
