Hi there, I have seen posts about this a long time back but have not had much luck with the search.... Are Vitara and Samurai rear diffs similar? I have a broken spider gear in my SJ70 and I know where a LSD from a Vitara is, If I was to use only the inner LSD part? (Sorry no so good on terminology) Could I install my Ring gear on it and put it in the SJ70 housing. I guess the ring gear might need a shim, and backlash will need to be set etc. |

No. Vitara rear is much larger |

Vitara front are similar size to Sierra's to the point where ring and pinion can be used |
