Wanting to remove the fuel tank from a Baleno. FSM says to relieve fuel pressure first by running car until tank is empty, however I am not in a position to be able to run the car (other than idling it in the driveway) and the tank is 3/4 full of fuel. Do I really need to do this before I start removing the tank? I have been unable to get a siphon to the bottom of the tank to drain the fuel.

No, just undo a hose clamp. There will only be a small splash of fuel. If the car has been sitting for some time there may be no pressure at all In the fuel system.
