Post subject:  Sierra SJ80 can't engage N and 4Low

Can move transfer gear stick from 2 to 4H (4WD light comes on)..but leaver does not move accross to engage in N and 4Low..please help

The chain drive transfers in the sj80 are well known for jamming up. Check it isnt the shifter bush before changing out the transfer. Swapping to the gear driven sj50/70 tcase is a common swap but requires some shaft and mount changing

Coilys don't have a shifter bush like a leafy case, its more of a pin sticking out the front of the transfer type setup.

I bought it 2 months ago..it was like this when bought..previous owner said it had worked few years earlier..I thought it would just be a bush job like SJ413..but now see the transfer boxes are different. Anyone have exploded diagram of this box..or video of dismantling?
