The ratios I have noted down for the J20A boxes are this:

1.3 Sierras had 2 different ratios, SJ50s had a taller 5th gear.

worth noting, almost every 5 speed manual box 4th gear will be 1:1, Except the g13b jimny where 5th was 1:1.
I would be skeptical of any table that does not include a 1:1 ratio for a manual box. This is not a "gear" as such, it is a direct coupling of the input and output shafts.

Also worth noting I believe the sj80's had different gearbox ratios in 2nd and 5th (maybe others)

Do any of you know what the stock Vitara transfer case gears are?

I'm all for having accurate information out here in a forum, but what's the practical application? What gearing problem are you trying to overcome?

PS I'm slightly dubious about some of the answers here. The J18 figures (so for a USDM Vitara sport) show a 0.97:1 4th gear and J20 at 0.96. That would be a very technically difficult ratio to achieve for little to know practical purpose. I can't imagine why Suzuki would engineer two different gear sets for two almost identical cars in every other way.

AFAIK the manual transmissions used with the J18 & J20 engines are "conventional" five speed transmissions with a direct drive (1:1) fourth gear

That's what I would have thought.

I just got this Info from another Forum "AerioStyles" and was just confirming that info on here instead of asking like most people do i was trying to research then confirm. As for Application i don't really like say much about my build's because most the time you post it up people just destroy you and say why would you spend so much money etc..... So if i talk about builds it in PM's. Ill send you a message Steve about the build and see what you think.
Just my 2c tho.
