| Post subject: | M13A Rough Idle |
Having a problem with the engine in my Jimmny. Had a bad miss and rough idle. After changing coils, throttle body and all sensors on the intake side I have removed the miss but idle is still rough. Car is really slow to accelerate till it hits 4,000 rpm then starts to accelerate really well and still has an eratic and rough idle. If I take a vacuum hose off the brake booster or 4wd acuator the car drives great and the idle seems a lot better. So the problem is a vacuum issue but obviously not a leak. Any help someone can offer would be greatly appreciated. |

I certainly no expert. Does it idle rough on start up and rev lower than normal and kinda feel like a lumpy cam If so it could be the egr valve is dirty and the valve not closing properly. I've had this problem before. The solution was taking it off and cleaning and then a new gasket. Mine threw an error code the first time but not the other 2 times. Might be worth a try it's an easy remove and clean and a $4 gasket. Good luck |
