interested to see what others have done to remove engine and gearbox on vitara g16b / manual gearbox.
in the past have removed/installed either engine and or gearbox , one at a time.
engine has had manifolds removed to fit/install , interested to see who's removed/installed with manifolds on
has anyone removed both engine and box as one , still joined .

Yes pretty straightforward.

I think I've done four engines out (at the wreckers) and all were engine and gearbox as one unit.

Did a g16/3 speed out of a swb Vitara 2 weeks ago. I removed the grill and the piece of bodywork that runs across the front of the engine bay so I didn't have to lift it so high. I also unbolted all the diff mounts and let it drop out of the way so the sump doesn't foul on it.
