I had to do some work on a Pajero yesterday (replace unis and tyres) and saw that the rear suspension setup is quite flexy and is very similar to the front of a GQ-GU.
(This is something I've always avoided as I'm allergic to shitbox bitsashitty's.)
It is a very simple setup that would be easily transferred to a Zook.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of Paj rear coils, arms and panhard being used in front and rear of a Zook (Sierra)?

heh... that's what i had in my sierra for the first version. Rear pajero control arms and a pan hard, for both front and rear. Very easy setup to do. Problem is, the control arms grip the diff housing and do not allow any flex, almost as bad as leaf springs, so i removed one bolt on the left front control arm and one bolt on the rear left ( i think it was) and it flexed heaps because it was only being gripped by one side. Hope that makes sense.

I didn't do the original conversion. A mate had it in his back yard and he wasn't sure who did it so it's one of those mysteries, though i'm sure someone would know. The springs just look like jimny springs.

The diffs and chassis had been out in the weather for a few years, the rear diff was cracked right open. I cleaned them up and welded the diff housing. Never had a problem with it.






I can't find any pics of the panhard setup but was pretty simple.
don't worry, i painted them black in the end.

Looks like an easy enough conversion.
Now just have to work out if I'll get more flex than the leaves fitted currently.

you wont get much flex with all the bolts in. These are the ones i meant before. I removed one bolt of the four on the back and one bolt from the four on the front.
