Hi all,
Im new to the sierra thing!
I had an LJ80 before hand and have swapped it for an 8/89 model Sierra. I have much to learn about modding the sierra.
But 1st I wanna know some basic info.

1. What ratio diffs would I have in it?
2. What ratio is the transfer case?
3. What quantities of lubricants will I need to buy for the diffs/tranfer/gearbox?

cheers
Hutch

89 model is abit on the fenceline if you know what i mean. Widetrack or narrowtrack?

88' model are definate 1L NT where as
91' model are definate 1.3 WT

89' are changeover miscellaneous parts

1.3 Wt Have 3.7 diffs with 2 pin front diffs.
1.3 Nt Have 3.9's with 4pin front diffs(better for lockers)

I think it should have a standard 1.3 transfer. Unsure of ratios. Or if it has 4wd light.

Is it a Swb or Lwb?

Is it a genuine Suzuki? Not one of those mix'n'match super miscellaneous SWB/LWB maruti's?

Also with the oil, what did you use in the Lj? It should be 80w and 90w diffs and gearbox. I have forgotten which oil 80/90w goes in where

I use 20w for my motor

Hope that helps :D

thanks for that.
Yeah it is a WT SWB with a 1.6 Vitara motor conversion.
So seems like a 3.7 diff ratio eh?
cheers
