Hi all. I have an old 1981 Sierra Sj40 and was looking to buy an original Suzuki Bullbar. Was wondering if there is any difference between the later models ie coil springs and mine when it comes to mountings. Thanks

I'm not aware of there ever being a "original suzuki bullbar" - the dealer optional bars were made by Hayman Reece and they're pretty much cosmetic. I've seen them increase vehicle damage in a light impact.

The chassis end and bumper outrigger locations are the same for all SJ series suzukis/marutis. Having said that, any bar manufactured specifically for the SJ80 won't fit well as the front facia of the car has a different profile, and there will be no provision for the indicators/park lights.
