I received my new throttle cable from 4WD Products last night and will fit it this weekend. Just a question regarding how it fits at the firewall end..... It has a white plastic "plug" with four clips and a rubber washer. Does this just clip into the firewall when you insert it from the engine-bay side? |

Yes, correct. They can be a bit fragile and prone to breaking (the clips) so be careful. |

Thanks mate! So, best to wiggle it in gently, huh? Would it help if I lubed the hole first? |

You can jam it in dry |

Yeah, just don't want to break any of the clips, hence thought some lube might help me to ease it in gently. |

Lube is always good [emoji3] But really with or without lube if your not heavy handed it should be fine |

I've found it's more a problem of the firewall doubling plate can be quite snug around the cable which can make it hard to align, and its very hard to get them out without breaking the clips, so make sure you're happy before you put it in |

I just had a look and the hole is in a bugger of a place there under the brake booster! There's not a lot of room for my fat fingers! |
