I'm guilty of never measuring the pre-load for the kingpins when I had the swb. Always ran with no shims But I got to thinking if I was to set the pre-load to specification as per the fsm, wouldn't it make a difference on a larger tyre such as a 33 considering the the stock tyre size is a 26? Much larger and heavier. Again, most likely overthinking and over analysing.

Start with 2 shims top and bottom, if you get the shakes remove a top shim and so on... until wobble goes haha |

You’re correct, but if you go too high the bearing will get notchy and this can trigger wobble too. |
