gents , new to Jimny driver here. how does this stack up, seems high compared to published figures, but they are always understated I guess. Completely stock 2010 model jimny, no extras at all with 130,000 on the clock 489km on a full tank. About 360km of this was highway driving( but I only drive about 95km-98kmhr as I am low on points lol and can't risk straying over 100km) 130km of which would be classed as town driving. Aircon on most of the time( north QLD) Worked out about 8.2L/100 going off 40litre tank(?).... Reasonable or crapola? |

You've not really given it a fair trial as far as fuel consumption goes yet. To do that properly you need to get a few more refills, same bowser, same stop point, same filler stop level, and calculate from the actual total amount of fuel poured into the tank. To get close to an accurate guide from a single refill would be a fluke. Published figures are based on creative testing by the manufacturer in order to meet a pass-mark for government regulations and emissions standards, and have no relevance to actual driving. |

8.2 Litres per 100 km is fairly good. If you want to keep track of usage apps like Gas Cubby are quite good. Can help you identify trends such as when your getting good fuel usage and when your not. When fuel usage changes, ie you change something on the car and usage goes up or down etc |

Just shy of 500 is about right. TBH highway or city doesn’t really make that much of a difference unlike some cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
