I know it is the V6 VL commodore engine mounts that get used in a Swift GTi engine conversion... Is it auto or manual VL mounts.. Part numbers would be excellent if someone has them.. We have got everything I think except new mounts... Cheers..

I used ones that looked like this Kelpro mount. Had to grind the small tab off to fit.

Most aftermarket standard ones are pretty weak. When you swap to higher hp efi motors the passenger side mount busts all the time as thats the way the engine torques. Ive had success using the repco ones but all the other ones would bust quickly. The vl mounts are good but can be a tight squeeze to fit on your own, an extra set of hands makes it a bit easier

Yes normal engine 48hp... gti is 101hp... so breaking mounts is common..

The car needs new mounts anyway so why not put in stronger ones if they are around the same price ??? $58 delivered..

This! If they don't bust (where the rubber-metal vulcanizing bond fails as opposed to the rubber tearing in genuine Japanese mounts) under moderate stress they end up sagging heaps! Same goes for aftermarket transfer case mounts
