Hi Guys. I am looking to upgrade my alternator and want to use an EL Falcon 110 Amp Mitsu alternator, but I want to use a v pulley on it. I understand all the pros and cons of using a V pulley, all said though does anyone know what make or alternator brand I could take a suitable V pulley off and fit to the Falcon alternator.

I’d say ripping up a belt at night in the middle of nowhere is a pretty big con. Why can’t you learn from others who have already tried this? A single v belt can’t drive a falcon alternator. Really. It can’t. It’s a nightmare.
There are some people who won’t run a falcon alternator even with polyvee belts because the suzuki crank pulley is 4pk (the falcon alternator is 6pk)which can cause slip.

Isn't the rotational resistance determined by the amount of current being pulled from the alternator though?
If fishbiggles is pulling 110 amps running fridges, spotties, light bars, inverter and charging a dual battery system, then sure, you might run into trouble, but it shouldn't pose a problem if that's not the case though should it? Obviously there's a limit, and I mean one would usually install a big alternator in order to run bigger systems that you could with the smaller one, so it does make sense that more rotational power is required, and thus more grip.
I'm definitely no expert, but this does seem to make sense, hence being able to freely spin an alternator while off the car - where there's no current draw.

That’s sort of true, but doesn’t take into account starting. When the car is started there’s huge electrical load. At this point it’s only the internal resistance of the battery and the output of the alternator that limits current flow until the battery is recharged. My falcon alternator with a single v belt would slip at idle after startup for some time. It was OK with the headlights on but slipped consistently with the driving lights on (200w) driving off road at night , therefore using the reverse light (55W) and air locker compressor intermittently killed the belt totally. I had to leave the car at a mates and return with a new belt.
Belt was drum tight- far tighter than recommended.
No manufacturer uses a single v belt with a 100A alternator because they slip. Back in the 90’s, Toyota put a 120A alternator on 80 series and ran two single v belts to drive it.

And when working hard (under winch conditions) those 2 V belts on 1HD-FTE 70 / 80 / 100 series (which you buy as a matched 'pair' of belts, so they are checked to be the same length) still slip. Spray on 'belt grip' products do a reasonable job, but if you need to be using the winch because you are stuck in a muddy bog hole, then you are almost guaranteed to have belt slip issues.
