Hey guys, have had this occur now and then, where i'll have the music up a touch and hit the brakes and then it seems to short out the system somewhere. Previously i've just unplugged the power on the stereo (I wired it with spade connectors), plugged it back in and it's reset the issue. So i assumed it was the stereo putting too much load on the wiring/fuse even though it never blew anything and wasn't turned up all that loud. Anyway, it went again this morning and the stereo fix didn't work. Symptoms: - Stereo no power - Dash lights no power to back lamp, but indicators still work and high beam light is on - Clock numbers are all over the place, foot on brake and clock goes fully lit up green - Brake lights not working (indicators and reverse do) ^^ All started when I had headlights on, stereo on and hit the brakes. Where do i even start to figure out the issue? |

Brake light fuse. Pull it out and look, you can't test it with a test light. These are classic symptoms of the Sierra blown brake fuse. Given it's an intermittent problem you probably have a bad connection somewhere in that circuit. |

Fuses were first thing i checked, then went around and checked all the plugs and earths, and then still nothing so went back to the fuses and the bloody brake fuse had a hairline crack in it!!!! All fixed =) |
