Done a fair bit of searching through outers, here and general internet searching but cant seem to find what im looking for. My old DD is a 1.6 injected laser ghia. From what i know this uses the Mazda 3B motor, exact same as the TX3 with no turbo on it. 1987 model I have since retired this car but will only get a couple of hundred for it from wreckers/local sale. Would i be able to fit this thing into a zook fairly easy? |

I think the engine you are refferring to is a b6 motor 8 valve multi point fuel injected unit. I had the same engine in my first KE TX3. I'm not 100% sure, but it may possibly mate to an older rear wheel drive mazda gearbox. If you were going to install it you would want to make sure the engine has been serviced meticullously every 5000km's, because these engines commonly turned the oil into jelly if not serviced regularly and with a good oil, but seriously though, I would'nt install it, as it's a lot of work to go to to install an engine thats now over 20 years old in design. I would instead part out the Laser as you'll get more money for parts t han to sell it complete, and you could put the money towards purchasing a multivalve 1.6 Vitara motor |

its not something i want to do alot of research and working around with to do, so if their isnt anyone that has done it before i really CBF'd with it Ill just part it out and buy the vitara conversion. Just thought it may have been cheaper option, last time i checked about vitara engine with wiring etc was around $2500, is this about right? |
