Mine was the same, it engaged 4L but not properly. Now with the transfer lift in it is back to normal

Thinking of getting a body lift soon. was wondering how hard the job is and if you need to change other things. such as brakelines etc. its a 1989 wt sierra with a 2inch suspension lift if that helps. other than that its standard for now. |

Really easy to do with a minimum of tools and knowledge required. You may need to clearance the gear levers as they can foul on the transmission tunnel. Apart from that nothing else needs to be changed. Get the kit from Just_Cruizin. |

It's the bump in the floor over the gearbox. Because the body lift is lifting the body away from the gearbox the stick can sometimes hit the edge of the hole in the floor. Mine didn't but I've heard others have. It can be solved pretty simply with a hammer or some kind of cutting devise. |

when i did mine, my gearshift was fine but sometimes when i shifted into 4wd low it hit on the tunnel. grinded it a bit and stayed within the boot and it was fine and you wouldnt know the difference |

just remember a few little things too mate,with one of my zuks one wire to the coil didnt have enough slack and snapped,steering column may need to be undone and slid along spline a little or get the thicker rag joint to suit,as said may need to play with the trans tunnel and also where your two steel brakelines mount on the drivers side front inner wheel arch,i had to undo that bracket off the arch and then redrilled the holes further down later and bolted it back up.Just take it slow and take note of whats happening as you lift. |

im only new to zooks and 4wds in general so i dont what the coil is. anyother way to describ it and what can i do to stop it. thanks guys |

if ya dont know where the coil is maybe u shouldnt do it ay theres a fairbit u will need 2 know 2 do it anyway heres the coil location on my sj80 |

the coil is the same place for all 1.3's. just because you don't know what the things are called doesnt mean you can't do a body lift. There are some excellent instructions that come with most kits with photo's of everything to look for. any problems just post up a photo of what went wrong and more than likely someone can help you out |

it may be an easy job ZF but there is potential for pain and general unsafeness so i would say if you don't know what a coil is it may be best not do a bodylift unsupervised. not putting shit on ya nick, have a go at it. just get someone to help ya. the only way to learn is to do you just don't want to loose ya fingers learning
