Post subject:  rear cage

hey dudes, done abit of a search but didnt find much. im thinking about making a rear cage for my zook. its a soft top sierra. i want to make it square to basically follow the same dimensions as the soft top when its on. what i really want to know is, will i still be able to legally have rear seats?

heres a pic for a rough idea of what im goin for.

your better off making one that the bar still sits over to hold the soft top tight. you'll never get it to sit nice

like mine, the factory soft top bar bolts on and sits over the top of it

it's made out of a tj wrangler rollbar i cut down and modified, not great for a HUGE roll, but has proven to work was in my old orange sierra which i rolled on the road, i'll see if i can find some pics. It's bolted to the floor infront of the wheel arches, wish i had done it differently it stops some movement of the front seats, the rears go out to the corners of the body they are the strongest point, i used nutserts on the purple car, the orange car had bolts all the way through
