Hey guys, got a bit of a noise in my sierra. Only occurs when there is slight stress on the body, ie: turning, braking and accelerating. But not all the time. The noise itself sounds like someone hitting the floor of the cab with a hammer and only once at a time. Thinking it has to do with suspension moving around or body shifting on mounts. Pretty sure it's the latter as it really only became noticable after the body lift. Now I've been under it twice and retightened eveything. It went away for a while but returned after I had it up on the jack changing a tyre. Hence the possibility of it being suspension. Anyone else experinced anything similar? Suspension is 40mm ome kit with ext shackles if this makes a difference. Cheers.

Transfer case or transmission lever hitting the tunnel?

Does it happen when you shake the steering wheel back and forward while stopped? It could be the spring packs moving. Mine has just started doing that....

x2

What about your exhaust? Maybe you bent it on the trails and its sitting against the chassis/body. I've also had a similar noise when I first bought mine which was caused by missing rear body mount bolts

Had the leafpack niose before, and yes it was most noticable when sitting still and turning the wheel, think this might be different. May be something to do with the quality of the body lift i'm using. I've noticed one of the mounts is as tight as I can get it yet I can still just turn the urethane block by hand. Might have to remove that female bolt and shorten it slightly as it seems to be running out of thread before the block is fully clamped in there. Am not too worried about it now tho, it would seem it's all part and parcel of loving a sierra! Thanks for the input!
