Hi guys, my g13ba is blowing some black smoke, all plugs except number 4 are black, I've read somewhere that this can happen if something wrong is with a jet, can anyone elaborate as it is obviously running rich. Cheers |

It's almost impossible to read plugs in a car thats been idling for any period. It's quite interesting to read up on the procedure to read plugs accurately. My guess is your black plug/smoke problem wasn't jet related, it was low voltage resulting in poor spark energy and therefore incomplete combustion. I assume the new alternator has fixed this?
