Post subject:  Efi fuel pump options

I have a 81 Sierra with a 1.6 efi conversion running external fuel pump from a commodore and is noisy and wanting to change to an internal fuel pump just for a simple setup instead of doing a header tank was going to order this

Just wondering as I don’t have a working fuel gauge and no interest in trying to get it working as it is just a weekend toy has anyone come across a internal fuel pump that would bolt into the fuel sender hole. Without any major alterations

Get a coily tank it has the hole already there, i used a baleno pump and extended the pick up pipe all bolted up.

That would be cheaper and easier than a tank swap, still just run a ryco style fuel filter between tank and pump and the air that gets trapped in the filter doesn’t bother the pump when it sucks it in ?

No run your fuel filter after the pump and make sure its an efi filter. I normally run between fuel rail and metal hard line in engine bay
