Ill start off saying I havent really investigated as yet..

However..

When we get some rain, the air coming into the cab stinks, like an old sock.
Everytime it rains, and I dont mean the car has been sat in it.. but for example the ute was under the carport all last night and she has rained pretty much all day. There is a musky stink coming from the airvents..

Is there something that needs replacing?

LOL - I dont mind usually but had to transport my old dear and she said for me to have a wash!! hahaha

It's probably rotten leaves stuck in the vent pipes.

In fairness I did have a wiff.. but no was all good!

Any idea on how to access those?

tie a rope around a tree, string it through your passengers side window, around the steering wheel and drive off... will be one of the more faster ways to get to those air vents...

Tempting.. 2nd option.. Or just deal with the smell!

Start pulling the dash out, the heater box is pretty buried. Otherwise, stick a hose down the vent in front of the dash and make sure the drain outlets on the firewall are unblocked.

1 litre is a lot easier, pull the middle dash panel out, undo the heater mount bolts and lower it down so the heater plenum drop enough to clean it out

and spray a heap of glen 20 in the vents, kills the smell

Nice one, I'm going to get on it asap..
Its hammering to down in perth at the moment..

Ill be a bit more careful this time, I played around with the dash plate before and bent all the heater/air vent wires, so I have a choice now of

-Heat on feet or
-Heat on window..

That's it.. The rest move like they have a lacky band attached somewhere

Ahh well
