No and no almost sort of. You can get auto lockers for 1.0 axles. To swap to 1.3 axles you’ll need u bolts, spring plates, and a way of sorting driveshaft or transfer flanges. It’s worthwhile if you go WT, not really worth it if you stay narrow track. |

Because the cost and work to do the job is basically the same for WT or NT, but NT axles have less aftermarket support, and you don't gain the stability, tyre clearance or steering clearance that WT axles offer. When my car still had 1.0 axles under it I welded the rear and put 1.3 NT front axles in it. It ran fine like that with 34" tyres on it until I went to WT sierra axles. if you have the budget to go to airlocker(s) go WT, 26 spline front and rear lockers both front and rear. |

No. jumping the car, especially in sand, will bend front housings. It's otherwise not a significant problem. Rear won't be a problem up to about 33" tyres, but it's definitely possible to break a front CV with 31's and lockers. It's not uncommon. there are no off the shelf NT 26 spline inner axles to work wth aftermarket cromo CV's. 31's will be all over your inner guards and shock mounts if you stay narrow track. |

when putting 1.3 axles in can you put reduction gears in a 1l transfer case or do you have to swap to a 1.3 transfer as well? Cheers Jack. |

If it's a light switch 1l transfer then you can fit crawler gears. Most crawlers gears reuse the 1.3l low range output gear so you may have to source one of those. Gears like the 6.4s or 6.5s replace all the gears in the transfer so it doesn't matter there. If it's a non switched transfer then you're fucked and you've got to swap it out. |

The Chinese e-locker/LSD comes in 1.0/LJ diff sizes. Might be an alternative to an Air Locker. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=55719 |

If you drive on road go air, I used to daily my coily with a Spool, then drove my leafy to wheeling with a spool, now I just trailer it to parks and travel in the luxury of a tow car. having a spool/weldy/auto in the rear is cool at first but really gets to you after a while. |
