This mod has been around for years i did it once on a previous car And it seemed to improve my acceleration abit by adding more air flow, Has anyone tried it on a jimny and did it make any difference |

I seriously doubt the difference will be detectable, and there's obvious risk of increasing the chance of ingesting mud/water, and raising the temperature of the air entering the engine, which would be a net loss. I have improved the performance of diesels (both turbo and N/A) by reducing inlet restriction, but in that case we were talking about old-school mechanical motors that pulled hot air from the factory. There was plenty of room for improvement. |
