I'm on 235/75/15. and want to tow a trailer again, so rather than get a new engine, I thought I get smaller tyres. I've got a Frontier 215/75/15 1000 for a spare, and just buy 4 new ones. What's the 1000 mean ?. The tyres I've looked up on line have 100S, 100T etc.

100s (100 is the load index and S is the speed rating)

For your app both will be in abundance
