Hey y'all, Newbie here, looking at entering the wonderful world of owning a zook. I went and looked at a 2002 Grand Vitara today, and the thing was solid! However after taking it for a test drive a high pitch whistle had developed in the engine. Just wondering if anyone knows what would cause this? Thanks in advance! - Big Al |

High pitched whistles are usually vacuum leaks, could also be a squealing/slipping belt. |

The noise did seem to change/quieten with some revs, making me think that you are on the money. Not a hard fix hey? Does anyone know of any other causes? |

The Noise is very loud and high pitched, almost ear-piercing. The noise does seem to change/quieten with substantial revs, making me think that you are probably on the money. If so, its not a super hard fix is it? Does anyone else have another idea of what it might be? |
