Things getting lost in Facebook groups is stupid. Seems nobody else has figured this yet, from factory the ESC will turn itself back on at 30kmh in 2wd and High 4, Low 4 its disabled at all speeds Defeat box is available here, $600 odd plus shipping https://cartune.me/notes/s7lWlZT203... No idea on price, or where or how to buy it, installing it looks easy as and from what I can gather from lots of bad translations it intercepts the canbus and alters the speed messages and turns the ESC off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1ovxKj-G7c Otherwise you can enable Service mode Service mode method, locate the 2 pin plug taped to the harness going to the accelerator pedal under the dash, has black and tan wires, bridge those 2 wires together with wire or a paperclip or something. Offical method is turn on the key, once ESP light goes out (takes 2 seconds) you then have 3 seconds to start holding down the ESP off switch for 5 seconds Easy way, turn key on and count 3 seconds, hold down ESC off switch for 5 seconds or until the dash goes orange and says service mode enabled or something You need to do this every time you turn it off. I am not sure if you can leave the plug bridged, one member who has been testing in a manual loses hillstart assist, but my auto seems to still have it. |
