Guys, I'm not liking the small / weakly sprung 87 Samurai wiper arms. Even with new blades, they leave streaks with every swipe. I'd like to put on some more substantial ones, something more burly with a stronger spring, for more blade pressure on the windshield. Do you know what other wiper arms will fit the Samurai male spline? Jimney perhaps? Some other Suzuki arm? I can mod the over all length of whatever arm....it just needs to fit the spline and have a stronger spring. Thanks. |

Polish and wax your window man water just beads off of it. And silicone spray the blades for extra slippage |

My sierra ones are fine. I use silicone blades and keep them clean. I park under a Jarrah tree so they fill with pollen ALL THE TIME. As long as they're clean though, they don't streak. |

'87 will have the 'pressed on' narrow track arms (unless the windscreen frame has been changed). The widetrack frame uses different pivots, at different spacings, so not really swappable into your frame, but the wide track as the more usual splined pivot, that secures the arm with a nut. This opens up your options of finding something with a stiffer spring. Rgs, Michael |

Mine don't have the nut on top to hold the arm onto the splined shaft. Is this what you mean? If so, I see there are very few new wiper arms for sale offered that will fit my samurai, after market, or oem Suzuki arms. So, buying new ones and hoping for less smear on the windshield may not even be an option. Hummmmm. I may need to modify mine somehow......change the spring out for a stiffer one, maybe even removing the metal female spline from my existing arms, and tig welding it into some better donor car wiper arms. |

Yes, you have the correct arms for your year of car - pushed on with a 'pinch' bolt. The nut on top type is as per a wide track - 1989 onwards & a better, more common design. Rgs, Michael |

Thank you. Seems here in NA, most of the zuk wipers are of the newer type with nut on top of the splined post, and not the pinch bolt type. When I get time, I'm going to try to mod / fab some donor car wiper to work on the samurai. Even making the pinch bolt female spline should not be too difficult, just time consuming. |
