Does anyone know were I can get a pic or diagram or manual or something for a 86 Sierra Carby? If I can see how its meant to look I can see whats missing from mine and what is broken and where. Thanks. |

Tried that link you gave, came up with: Bandwidth Limit Exceeded The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later. |

Yep. Just wait for a while and try again. Lots of people download from that site, so it is often like that. I assume you have the Aisin carburettor on yours? |

I don't know for sure what the differences are, no. I know the US models do not use a Aisin, so any US based manual is no good. I have a 96 coily, and it has a Aisin, that it appears to be fundamentally the same as that described in the Holden Drover manual, although I believe some of the springs/linkages may be slightly different. What makes you think things are missing/broken on yours? |

Theres a plastic piece that has clearly been snapped off where the spring controlling the air flap in the carb. So the engine is stalling half way down the accelerator, I assume because the air flap isnt opening/closing properly. There is also a small bar with a little knob on the end just bellow that spring that seems to be not connected to anything or is not functioning properly. It moves freely up and down and slightly side to side and gets stuck up in mid air. This is also cuasing some problems with the auto choke as the engone struggles/stalls when its cold. |

I have a service manual that I bought for $50, but it decided not to go into detail about carbys. Said that there is to much variation to go into detail about them. |

Carby cleaner from sprints. The cheap version works fine, otherwise there is the more expensive CRC brand. http://www.crcind.com.au/catalogue.nsf/ ... enDocument |
