Hello, I am trying to remove the gearbox from My Holden Drover (Sierra SJ410) and have followed the factory workshop manual to a tee. Also in all the you tube videos only one shows the actual removal and it is jacked rock climber so dosen't count.
I cannot ger the gearbox back far enough to clear the clutch housing.
Does the clutch need to be removed with the gearbox suspended to remove the gearbox?
Any ideas please from people who have removed standard ones?

Pretty sure being a “jacked rock climber” won’t make any difference as to how far the gearbox can come back.

The normal procedure is to roll the gearbox anticlockwise IIRC.

Long time since I’ve had a gearbox out of a 1.0.

The Holden Drover NEVER came out as a 1.0lt. It should be exactly the same as a 1.3lt SJ413 NT Sierra.

If it does have a 1.0lt engine, it's not a Holden Drover!

After over an hour of rolling and turning I cut a v in the rear mount plate and it came straight out.
