Post subject:  G13b exhaust manifold on a G13a head

Hi all,

Cheers in advance for any help.

Will a Suzuki swift Gti turbo manifold bolt to my sierras g13a head. I've been told that the gaskets are interchangeable but when comparing the two over google images I've noticed that the B motors have circle exits and A's are rectangular. I'm doing an apprenticeship as a mobile plant mechanic and trying to rebuild and experiment with my little zook while I'm stuck at home with this Rona virus. Anyway any help is appreciated

Cheers

First - be aware that there are 8v G13b engines, I suggest you do not use G13b as a reference to the 16v DOHC engine.
Second - the cylinder head gaskets are the same, the intake & exhaust gaskets as you are already aware are different.
Third - the exhaust manifolds will not interchange - the bolt patterns are different
And finally - Suzuki never released the GTi in a turbocharged version - there was, if I recall correctly a turbo charged 3 cylinder version (G10 engine), but I don't think it was ever sold as a Swift, at least not in the export markets.
